In grand WTF news, Deadline.com is reporting that Lionsgate has optioned pregnancy manual What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee) directs while Heather Hach (Freaky Friday) and Shauna Cross (Whip It!) co-write. Aspiring screenwriters, take note!
As an expectant father, I have a copy of What to Expect in the house, and I’ve got to say, I am very excited about a film edition. I’m particularly interested in seeing how Jones captures the riveting thrills of the Six Meal Solution for morning sickness and the emotional cliffhanger that is the Dromendary Droop (if you have to ask…).
Here’s hoping for Michael Emerson to play the fetus.
